Prerequisites

For admission to the programme:

  • CFC (or equivalent school leaving certificate/A-levels/etc.).
  • Certificate of completion for the Personnel Management Assistant Certificate.
  • 4 years of experience in any professional field, including 2 years in HR.
Examination
  • The examination consists of three parts.
  • The examination is organised once a year by HRSE.
  • Part 1: General HR knowledge (written - 3 hours). Assesses theoretical HR basics through various types of questions (multiple choice, matching, open-ended). Objective: to verify mastery of HR fundamentals.
  • Part 2: Case studies (written and oral). Includes a written case study (210 minutes) and an oral case study (preparation + presentation + interview). Objective: to test analysis, practical application of knowledge and argumentation in concrete situations.
  • Part 3: Behavioural oral tests. Includes mini oral case studies (30 mins) and a video reflection interview (40 mins). Objective: to assess behavioural skills, the management of complex situations and the ability to think critically about professional interactions.

Professional ice hockey player Michael Ngoy began his sporting career in 2001 with the Lausanne Hockey Club. After four seasons with the Vaud-based club, he joined Fribourg Gottéron in 2005 and then, in 2016, moved to the Ticino club Ambri Piotta. He has now played more than 1,000 professional matches. Keen to manage his post-sporting career as effectively as possible, Michael Ngoy enrolled at the University of Lausanne in 2003, where he studied psychology. However, the difficulties of balancing his sporting career with his studies soon forced him to put his studies on hold. In 2014, he began studying for a federal certificate in technical management. With the help of the training centre's managers, he managed to set up an innovative formula that allowed him to take some of his courses remotely. Thanks to this unique arrangement, he obtained his diploma in 2017 and, building on this experience, created Ngoy Connected Academy two years later. The distance learning centre meets the need to balance a main activity (job, sporting career, etc.) with a professional career.
