The Swiss Maturity corresponds to upper secondary level and is a federal diploma. It is equivalent to the end of secondary school and allows direct access to all Swiss universities (UNIL, UNIGE, EPFL, etc.) and universities of applied sciences (UAS).
The dates and locations of the official Swiss Matura examinations are set by SERI (State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation) and take place once a year (usually in the summer session) in several cities across Switzerland.
